Riverdance, The “ Marimba-Duo”, Tatsuo Sasaki & Michiko Noguchi

Tatsuo Sasaki is a graduate of Tokyo University of Arts and Music and a Fulbright Scholar to the Julliard School of Music.

Sasaki served as assistant timpanist and percussionist with the Israel Philharmonic under the direction of Zubin Mehta.

In Japan, he has performed with the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and taught percussion at the Sakuyo Music College.

This CD contains a diverse repertoire of traditional Japanese melodies as well as Tangoes, Bach, Roman Folk Dances and music from Riverdance.

John Aley..Trumpet Martha Fischer..Piano Paul Rowe, Baritone

John Aley is the professor of Trumpet at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music. He has recorded with the American Brass Quintet, the PDQ Bach Orchestra The Orpheus chamber Ensemble and the American Composer's Orchestra. Aley has been a soloist with the English Chamber Orchestra and has appeared in concert with Maurice Andrea and the Vienna Chamber Orchestra. Aley has been a featured performer, clinician,and adjudicator for the International Trumpet Guild and the National Trumpet Competition.

Martha Fischer is Associate professor of Piano at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Music. A sought-after accompanist and chamber musician, she has performed throughout the United States and Europe. She has recorded Schubert's Winterreise with Paul Rowe and has served as Artistic and Music Director for the Young an organization dedicated to bringing fully staged professional operatic performances to school children throughout the nation.
